Old oak tree

While browsing google earth, I saw some photos of a oak tree which is over 400 years old. I had seen that tree and pictures myself without knowing this fact. I could take the picture of this old tree at different seasons. The tree is located 59°39'50.10 N and 10°46'16.85E, near to Norwegian University of Life Sciences, at an elevation of 311 feet.

Vigeland park in Oslo

Vigeland Park or Sculpture Park in Oslo is One of the artistic reflection of Norway. The park was named in respect to Gustav Vigeland who has setup the park with 192 sculptures. I was told that the sculptures reflect the cycling form of human life. Yes, the park has sculptures from child to old person with different expressions and moods.

Mid night sun

Norway is known for mid-night sun. I have experienced sunlight throughout the day but not experienced mid-night sun. People say that they have seen that the sun rises up without going down the next day during summer. Here are some of the pictures taken during evening (night?). The pictures are taken around 10pm. The last one is around 2:30AM and you can see the bright sky in the North. Usually, in the morning, it should be bright in East but it is bright at Northern sky due to the mid-night sun situation.

Sightseeing of beautiful Norway

I could visit Bergen, Norway this summer. I like the natural beauty and gorgeous spring falls on the way to Bergen. I could see many beautiful places especially the combination of rocky mountains, white springs and rivers, and green forest along the lakes. I have seen many pictures of touristic places and I had the feeling that they were presented differently to make attractive. However, after seeing the places, the reality is even more beautiful than pictured.

Holmenkollstafetten, 17km relay

Holmenkollstafetten is a 17 km relay race organized every year in Oslo, Norway. The race runs from middle of Oslo to the Holmenkollen ski jump. Holmenkollen is a Norway's tourist attraction place due to ski jump and winter Olympics. The photos are not of Holmenkollen but of the Holmenkollstafetten. This is one of the point where runners are waiting their team partner to reach since there were 15 such points. Here you can see people updating the news, runners, athlete in a queue to run their liquids in temporary public toilets (blue boxes). One of the photo is of Oslo resturant with kebab and coke.

Holland and Tulips

The dutch people from Holland like tulips very much. Tulips are grown in a large area for export and tourist attractions in the Netherlands. Thousands of tourists visit Keukenhof Tulip Gardens every year. These pictures are not from Holland but from Norway.

Finally spring arrived after white snow for more than four months. I like this season because of the colourful flowers, green and blue sky.

I was seeing these views for more than a year by now. 'Time flies', I realized it today when I saw these pictures. The agricultural land from barren to green.

Changing forms

I start my picture postings with these four pictures to show the change. Our life also changes according to the changing environment. Four picture of four different seasons, winter-summer, are from Norway. The first picture is not from mobile camera.

Theme- new blog

Dear visitors,
Is it important to write your dairy, blog in internet term, in words?. I am not good in writing, then what can I do? I had this question for sometime, then I find a solution - blog in picture.

Now a days everyone is moving with their mobile phones. Camera in a mobile phone is common. What a person is thinking, analysing and presenting in writing text could be reflected with a picture taken by non-writer. Similarly, there is a saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. Hence, I created this blog especially to post the pictures, picture of my thoughts, imaginations and analysis. I am using pictures taken by a mobile Sony Ericsson Z610i. This mobile has 2.0 mega pixel pictures. The pictures are not of professional quality, however enough for a picture blogging, I think.
